GAIN Reports from April 28, 2023

The following GAIN reports were released on April 28, 2023. _______     Nigeria: Grain and Feed Annual Rice import for MY 2023/24 is forecast to increase by 4 percent as flooding curbs domestic production and increases imports. Wheat imports are expected to decrease marginally due to surging global wheat prices and the government's attempts at wheat self-sufficiency. Wheat production is forecast to increase by 42 percent due to an MOU guaranteeing an agreed price that millers pay wheat farmers. Corn and rice production are forecast to decline marginally due to insecurity and high production costs.
