A Covid-related loss of smell could be tied to cognitive impairment. The bill, which was unexpectedly brokered last week by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and a key centrist, Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., has no hope of winning Republican support and therefore needs all 50 Democrats' votes. However, another centrist who holds a swing vote, Sen. One Interesting Thing  No, that random text to the wrong number isn't a mistake. Here's what the scam looks like.  The text message came late Tuesday. We responded that it was the wrong number, but it didn't end there. The person on the other end, "Anna," struck up a conversation. Within a few minutes, she was offering to help us invest in cryptocurrency.   These so-called wrong number scams — in which con artists send out huge batches of eye-grabbing but innocuous texts — have become the introduction du jour for scammers trying to bilk people out of money.   Read the full story here.
