In a moment, I am going to ask you to make a $7 contribution to the Democratic Party, Steven. Here's why this request is so urgent:
We won big last election cycle -- and we've got to expand on our Democratic majorities if we want to build back better. A well-resourced DNC is crucial to continuing to elect Democrats into public office at every level, in every state nationwide.
You know I hate asking for money, Steven. But with our party's first FEC deadline of the year tonight, it is essential we begin the new year with the resources needed to sustain our party's critical programs and infrastructure that will help elect Democrats in the years to come.
I'm counting on you to stay in this fight, Steven. So will you make a $7 donation to the DNC before their first deadline of my administration to keep building our Democratic majorities stronger than ever?
We have urgent priorities ahead of us, like passing the American Rescue Plan -- my plan to get COVID-19 under control and jumpstart our economy by scaling up testing and vaccination, increasing the minimum wage to $15/hour, investing in small businesses, and more.
But to ensure this progress we're fighting for, our country desperately needs us to expand our majorities in Congress and state legislatures. We need to elect Democrats at all levels of government year after year -- and the DNC is the committee responsible for making it happen. So I have to ask:
Will you donate your first $7 of the year before the DNC's midnight deadline? I know that for many, this is no small ask -- so I promise you that every cent will go towards electing Democrats in the years ahead.
Graciously,
Joe
