Hey runners, in today's newsletter, a big weekend of championship racing is upon us.
The first World Athletics Ultimate Championship opens Friday in Budapest with $10 million on the line, 28 titles to settle, and no medals to award. A week later, the World Road Running Championships hit Copenhagen, where three global titles go up on the road mile, 5K and half marathon, with 496 elites and 65,000 amateurs racing the same courses.
Elsewhere, Comrades has dropped its Athletics South Africa license for the centenary. And in Prague, Kenyan runner Kiprono led into the finish straight only for a departing TV car to lead him off course.

World Athletics published its final entry lists on Monday without her, and the Budapest long jump field is still eight jumpers. She also comes off the card for Athlos London ten days later.
General entries for the June 13 centenary open Wednesday with the field capped at 28,000. The race has replaced most of what the national federation used to provide, though not the qualifier.
