There were plenty of big performances during college football's Week 1. It’s also time to start tracking the players who could be in the mix for the Heisman Trophy after impressive showings.
Each of On3’s national experts submitted a ballot with his top 10 players on it. First-place votes are worth 10 points, second-place votes are worth nine points, and so on from there. Entering Week 2, here’s how On3’s Heisman Trophy Poll looks following the first full weekend.
7. Dante Moore, QB, Oregon - 51 points
WEEKEND STATS: 28-of-37, 358 yards, 3 TDs
It wasn’t easy for Dante Moore and Oregon in the season opener against Boise State. The Broncos had an upset on their mind before the Ducks held on to get the victory at Autzen Stadium, and Moore was a key reason why.
3. Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss - 113 points
WEEKEND STATS: 21-of-36, 336 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT
After securing another year of eligibility, Chambliss entered the 2026 season looking to prove himself as one of the nation’s best quarterbacks. His skillset was again on full display in Ole Miss’ season-opening win over Louisville.
