Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III called Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant today to discuss hostage recovery and the Israel Defense Forces' operational pause in Gaza. The Secretary stressed the importance of increasing humanitarian aid into Gaza and mitigating civilian harm.
