Feb 14, 2022 Ivan Reitman, filmmaker who directed 'Ghostbusters' and produced 'Animal House,' dies at 75 Producer Ivan Reitman, who first found widespread success with his production of "National Lampoon's Animal House," died peacefully in his sleep Saturday night at his home in Montecito, California, his family said. Reitman is best known for the 1984 supernatural comedy "Ghostbusters," which earned two Oscar nominations and spawned a franchise.
