Investigator - Independent Investigations Division ​ Posting Date: October 1, 2021   Closing Date: October 15, 2021  Job Title:  Investigator            Location:   Office of the Attorney General 200 St. Paul Place, Baltimore, Maryland 21202  Position Type: Regular Full Time    Description:  The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for Investigators within the newly created Independent Investigations Division.  In March 2021, the Maryland General Assembly passed legislation creating an Independent Investigations Division within the Office of the Attorney General.  The Division is directed to investigate all alleged or potential police-involved deaths of civilians, and to provide a report containing detailed investigative findings to the State's Attorney of the County that has jurisdiction over the matter.  The Investigator position is a unique and exciting opportunity to work with a team of experienced investigators and attorneys, in partnership with the Maryland State Police, who are working together to enhance transparency, strengthen public trust in the criminal justice system, and engage and collaborate with external stakeholders and partners.   Under the supervision of the Division Chief and Chief Investigator, IID Investigators will respond to qualifying incidents in conjunction with the Maryland State Police and local law enforcement agencies, as well conduct aspects of the subsequent investigation.
