Police seek help in locating pregnant North Carolina woman missing since early October
Shameka Johnston 28, was last seen at the BP gas station on Albemarle Road, in Troy, North Carolina, on the evening of October 13, 2021. Her cell phone is off and there has not been any activity on her social media accounts. Shameka, who is known to her loved ones as "Meme," is nearly four months pregnant with her first child and her family is concerned for her safety. The Troy Police Department in Troy, North Carolina is investigating.

Murder of Ebby Steppach remains unsolved six years later
Ebby Jane Steppach, 18, was last seen on the evening of October 24, 2015, in Little Rock, Arkansas. A few days later, her Volkswagen Passat was found parked in Chalamont Park with her keys, phone and medication inside. In May 2018, Ebby's remains were found in an underground drainage pipe at the same park where her car had been located years earlier. There are persons of interest in her case, but no arrests have been made. The Little Rock Police Department Cold Case Unit is investigating.

Missing Illinois grad student Jelani Day drowned, coroner says
Jelani Day, an Illinois State University graduate student whose body was found in the Illinois River, died by drowning, according to a coroner's report released Monday. Day's mother, Carmen Bolden Day, has suggested foul play may be to blame in her son's disappearance and death.

Remains found in California desert identified as Lauren Cho, missing N.J. woman
Remains found in Southern California are that of Lauren Cho, a New Jersey woman who disappeared in June, officials confirmed Thursday. Cho disappeared near Yucca Valley after walking into the desert with no food, water or phone. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office, the cause and manner of death is pending toxicology results.
