Cleveland Guardians changed their name. But racist symbols in sports remain.
The Cleveland baseball team's decision to change its name to the Guardians is the latest move in a growing effort to rid professional sports of racist symbols. But experts and advocates argue that the well-being of Indigenous children is at stake until thousands of schools and colleges stop using offensive representations of Indigenous people.
