Mayor Scott and City Administrator Shorter give an update on the impending winter weather. Watch the full video here. Hello Neighbors, We are expecting another winter weather event, perhaps the most severe this year with 24 hours of precipitation and icy conditions that will make our roads dangerous. As forecasts for our region have recently changed, as always, we are here to provide you with an update on the weather. As of now, meteorologists are calling for upwards of 8 inches of precipitation. We are expecting rain, snow, and freezing conditions, which are expected to start at 3AM and continue all throughout the day. The Baltimore City Snow Team will deploy at 2AM on Thursday and will closely monitor weather and road conditions. City gateways and primary roadways have been pre-treated with salt brine. With nearly 300 pieces of equipment, a full complement of contractor forces and a replenished salt supply, the city is fully prepared for the weather ahead. For further details on the operations of city services, please visit snow.baltimorecity.gov. Remember: If you see any dangerous conditions, call 311 or submit a Service Request online or via the app. The team will be monitoring those requests as they come in. Please be safe, and stay home if you can. In Service, Mayor Brandon M. Scott City Administrator Christopher J. Shorter |
