I wanted to say thank you, Steven.
Last month, 313,813 generous Democrats made their very final investments in our party of 2020. Those contributions are already making a crucial difference in our fight to win the Georgia Senate runoffs in just a few days, and continue building on the infrastructure that helped us win the presidency in November.
We've come a long way since I first became chair in early 2017. With your help, we won the White House, flipped key Senate seats, gained and held a majority in the House, and elected countless down-ballot Democrats in every corner of this country.

That's something to be proud of, Steven, especially given what we were up against. It would have been easy to give into disappointment and fear in the era of Trump, but this team always stepped up when it mattered most. You were relentless in the face of historic challenges, and I'm so grateful.
I'm also hopeful. I've seen what you can do, and I have nothing but unrelenting optimism about what's to come for our party and our country. It'll take sustained effort from folks like you if we're going to get our country back on track after a difficult few years, but there's no challenge too great for this grassroots team -- we proved that in November.
So thank you, Steven, from the bottom of my heart, for all that you've done. My time as chair of our party will soon come to a close, and it's been the honor of my lifetime to lead this party. Folks like you make me proud to be a Democrat.
In unity,
Tom
