A federal judge knocked down the Trump administration's rule Tuesday night that prohibits immigrants from claiming asylum in the United States if they did not first seek to claim it in a third country they passed through on their way to the southern U.S. border. The ruling, a major blow to the administration's toughest asylum policy, comes on the heels of the Supreme Court's decision to uphold DACA and another federal judge's ruling that children must be released from family immigration detention centers. |
