Hey runners, in today's newsletter, a huge weekend of racing in Chamonix and Sydney.
Ben Dhiman became the first person to run UTMB under 19 hours, taking 45 minutes off the fastest winning time in race history. Blandine L'Hirondel took the women's title, completing the triple crown of titles.
Down in Sydney, 21-year-old Addisu Gobena by four seconds in a course record, with the two men behind him also inside the old mark. Peres Jepchirchir took the women's race for her fourth different Major title, in her first marathon since a stress fracture pulled her out of London.

The 21-year-old Ethiopian ran 2:04:42 on Sunday, cutting 84 seconds off the mark Hailemaryam Kiros set a year ago. The two men behind him finished inside the old record as well.
The 32-year-old Kenyan ran 2:18:31 on Sunday, nine seconds outside the course record, in her first marathon since a stress fracture forced her out of London in April.
The American ran 18:16:29 on Saturday, 45:25 faster than the quickest winning time in the race's history, over a course longer than the one either standing record was set on.
The two-time trail world champion ran 21:54:49 on Saturday, the fastest women's time the race has produced, and added the UTMB to the OCC and CCC titles she already held.
