Good morning, sports fans! Brigid Kennedy here, back again with another edition of my Wednesday Write-Up. First, I’d like to give a big thank you to Blake Silverman, who made his SI:CYMI debut on Monday and covered for me while I traveled home from a wedding. Round of applause for him.
In addition to the headlines we’ll get into below, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that the fourth season of Ted Lasso premieres today. Will you be watching? I was initially a bit skeptical of Apple’s plans to return to Richmond, but I think I’ve come around to the idea. What can I say, Ted is just too irresistible (it’s the mustache).
Let’s get into it.

Kevin Durant’s Latest Social Media Controversy Is Both Strange and Wrong |
Nurse, he’s out again. Kevin Durant, the 6'11" Houston forward with a social media problem, is back making headlines for his online activity, this time as it pertains to former teammates and future Hall of Famers Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. It’s exactly the kind of turmoil KD often finds himself in, and for totally unnecessary reasons. For brevity’s sake, I will let Liam McKeone explain it all at the link below, but just know that the headline above encapsulates how he feels about the whole thing.

How Do You Solve a Problem Like A Naz Reid Tattoo? |
Naz Reid is no longer a member of the Timberwolves, but plenty of Minnesota fans still have his name tattooed on their bodies, a somewhat commonplace phenomenon in the Twin Cities. In the wake of the trade that sent Reid to Charlotte, Tom Dierberger spoke with a handful of the tatted regarding their emotions around the deal, as well as their plans for the ink now that its namesake is gone. A great read.

Let’s get a little country. SI recently took a trip to South Carolina to spend some time with Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette, the horse-riding, raccoon-hunting cowboy gearing up for his third season in the NFL.
