Good morning, good morning! It’s Brigid Kennedy here, back with another edition of SI:CYMI—I hope you had a weekend that was so fun and so unplugged that you genuinely need this recap today.
Forward this to a friend who has already been camped outside of Madison Square Garden for hours.

ORANGE AND BLUE: The NBA Finals are moving from San Antonio to New York City tonight, and Knicks fans should expect some enhanced security measures for Game 3 (if they can even afford a ticket inside MSG, that is). … As we prepare to get our socks knocked off once again by some incredible basketball, let’s take a peek back at how the Spurs employed a “Hack-a-Mitch” strategy to limit the Knicks’ offense, how Karl-Anthony Towns’s vulnerability has been his superpower in this series, and how San Antonio might be dealing with a bit of exhaustion after an epic seven-game run vs. the Thunder. Or, if you’d just prefer something more straightforward, this takeaways piece should suffice. … Now, if you’re a Spurs fan and wondering if you can even come back from a two-game hole, here is what history has to say.
GRIDIRON GOSSIP: It was a busy seven days in the NFL world. … For one thing, Russell Wilson called it a career. But is he a Hall of Famer? Here’s what the numbers say. … Jared Verse and Myles Garrett switched places in a bombshell trade (which may have involved Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, shockingly enough?), and Verse had just one request before he packed it up for Cleveland. … Speaking of moving, here’s a primer on Hammond, Indiana, the potential future home of the Chicago Bears (go figure). … Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Drake London and Christian Watson have all gotten massive contract extensions this offseason. That in mind, let’s analyze what Puka Nacua might be in for when the time comes. … And, on the topic of contracts, things between the Buccaneers and Baker Mayfield don’t seem to be going great.
EXTRA, EXTRA: Everything else to know. … Roland Garros 2026 has wrapped; Alexander Zverev is your men’s champion, while Mirra Andreeva won the title on the women’s side. Congrats to both. … Speaking of tennis, Serena Williams talked more about her return and the pressure she is (or isn’t) feeling about it all. … And, in other news, Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo won the Belmont Stakes.

HEATED: Things got feisty on the WNBA court on Saturday when Mystics coach Sydney Johnson had to be escorted off the court by Atlanta police. The impetus? A foul call on Washington’s Alicia Flórez, who bumped up against Angel Reese as the Dream star drove into the paint.
82–0: Have you tried 82–0, the viral game that involves building an unbeatable NBA roster with players from all eras? We sure have, and it has reminded us of some since-forgotten names. Blake Silverman did a deep dive into some of those guys.

NBA Finals:
Spurs @ Knicks, Game 3—8:30 p.m. ET; ESPN
The Knicks are in New York, and with a two-game edge at that. Tonight, they’ll have the chance to widen that margin to three (in front of their home crowd, no less) and get one step closer to that Larry O’Brien.
WNBA:
Fever @ Mystic—7 p.m. ET; Peacock, NBC Sports Storm @ Aces—10 p.m. ET; USA Network
The Mystics will return for the first time since coach Johnson’s on-court incident on Saturday, while the struggling Storm will see what they can do against the Aces, on a three-game streak.
Enjoy the games tonight, ladies and gentlemen. And if you're in NYC, stay safe out there.
