FEDERAL FELON PLEADS GUILTY TO FIREARM OFFENSE 01/08/2026 07:00 AM EST PENSACOLA, FLORIDA – Ernest Lee Thomas II, 35, of Pensacola, Florida, pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  MEXICAN MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR IMMIGRATION-RELATED FRAUD 01/08/2026 07:00 AM EST TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – Eduardo Saavedra Melayes, 45, a Mexican national, was sentenced to two years in federal prison for aggravated identify theft, falsely representing U.S. citizenship, and false statement in application for passport.  PREVIOUSLY DEPORTED ALIEN INDICTED FOR ILLEGAL ENTRY AND ASSAULT OF AN IMMIGRATION OFFICER 01/07/2026 07:00 AM EST TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – Edwin Antonio Rodriguez-Gonzalez, 31, of El Salvador, was indicted by a federal grand jury charging him with illegal entry by a deported alien and assault of a government official.  HONDURAN MAN SENTENCED FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND ILLEGAL REENTRY 01/07/2026 07:00 AM EST PENSACOLA, FLORIDA – Marco Tulio Gonzalez-Oliva, 25, of Honduras, was sentenced to 51 months in prison after previously pleading guilty to illegal reentry and possession of child pornography.
