Illegal Alien Charged with Assaulting Officer During Lawful Removal Enforcement 12/09/2025 07:00 AM EST CHARLESTON, S.C. — An illegal alien residing in the United States has been charged with assaulting a federal officer during a lawful removal enforcement operation. Alexander Garcia Vargas, 24, is charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding a federal officer. He was illegally residing in North Charleston.
