PENSACOLA WOMAN SENTENCED TO FEDERAL PRISON FOR PREPARING FALSE TAX RETURNS AND IDENTITY THEFT 12/22/2025 07:00 AM EST PENSACOLA, FLORIDA – Khristine N. Harper, 42, of Pensacola, was sentenced to two years in federal prison after having previously pleaded guilty to twenty counts of aiding and assisting the preparation of false tax returns and one count of identity theft.  FEDERAL INMATE INDICTED ON MULTIPLE ASSAULT CHARGES AND POSSESSION OF CONTRABAND 12/22/2025 07:00 AM EST TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – Jose Melendez-Rivera, 27, an inmate in a Federal Correctional Institution, was indicted by a federal grand jury for assault with intent to commit murder, assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm, assault resulting in serious bodily injury, and possessing contraband in prison.
