GAIN Reports from July 9, 2025

The following GAIN reports were released on July 9, 2025. _______ Kazakhstan: Grain and Feed Update Kazakhstan's MY 2025/26 wheat production is forecast to contract from the prior year's record, mainly because farmers switched to growing more profitable oilseeds, especially sunflowers. The production of wheat as well as barley is also down year-to-year because of economic pressures, making it difficult for farmers to purchase on-farm inputs. With reduced grain production volumes, exports of wheat and barley are projected to be lower than the previous year. Meantime, owing to the plentiful MY 2024/25 grain crop and the government's transportation subsidy, wheat and barley exports are expected to reach at or near record levels during this period.
