A large-scale Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation and prosecution resulted in the conviction of 11 Idaho defendants on federal drug trafficking charges, Acting U.S. Attorney Justin Whatcott announced today.  The investigation involved the cooperative efforts of 10 federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.

Matthew Podolsky, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced that GHISLAINE BARRIENTOS, a former corrections officer, was sentenced today to six months in prison, to be followed by six months of home detention, for her participation in a scheme to accept bribes in exchange for smuggling narcotics and other contraband into Rikers Island.

Matthew Podolsky, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and Michael Alfonso, the Acting Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations ("HSI"), announced today the unsealing of an Indictment charging RALPH WALLACE, a/k/a "Chase," a/k/a "Prize," with sex trafficking multiple women by force, fraud, and coercion.
