They pretend to be in contact with us, and they create fake documents that appear official to trick you into paying made-up or inflated fees.   Protect yourself from scams:   Be suspicious of requests for money. Review USPTO trademark fees to confirm legitimate fees and amounts. The TTAB will never award monetary damages or order anyone to pay damages.   Verify status.
