| USPTO Open Data Portal coming in February As part of our efforts to modernize our systems and improve customer experience, we're scheduled to launch our Open Data Portal (ODP) on February 12, 2025. This portal provides easy access to relevant datasets in a user-friendly platform and combines several services into one. Whether you're an experienced researcher, an entrepreneur, or a student, you can quickly access, customize, and extract data on this site. To learn more, visit our information page and explore the beta site. Support resources are available to help guide you, including information on getting started with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and more. Note that ODP will replace both the Patent Examination Data System (PEDs) and the Bulk Data Storage System (BDSS). PEDS will be available at least 30 days after ODP's launch, and BDSS will be available at least 60 days post launch. We'll share more specific dates on these retirements soon. Stay tuned for more updates, including details for an online information session.
