The latest U.S. Import and Export Price Indexes news release has been posted on the BLS website at https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/ximpim.pdf and also archived at https://www.bls.gov/news.release/archives/ximpim_10162024.pdf. Highlights are below. U.S. import prices decrease 0.4% in September; export prices drop 0.7% 10/16/2024 Prices for U.S. imports declined 0.4 percent in September, after decreasing 0.2 percent in August. U.S. export prices fell 0.7 percent in September following a 0.9-percent drop the previous month. Over the past year, import prices declined 0.1 percent and export prices fell 2.1 percent.
