BOSTON – Nine men have been arrested for fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine trafficking.

PROVIDENCE, RI – A Cranston man, previously convicted in federal court and incarcerated for more than six years for robbing nine banks in 2012, admitted to a federal judge on Wednesday that he participated in the robbery of an East Providence bank on New Year's Eve in December 2019, a bank he had previously robbed during his 2012 spree, announced United States Attorney Zachary A. Cunha.

Rachel Olivia Markum and Robert Franklin Markum Jr. were sentenced to 15 and 27 months in federal prison, respectively, for evading taxes during the 2016 calendar year.

St. Thomas, VI – United States Attorney Delia L. Smith announced today that Assistant United States Attorney Daniel Huston will lead the efforts for the District regarding the Justice Department's nationwide Election Day Program for the upcoming November 5, 2024, general election. Huston has been appointed to serve as the District Election Officer and, in that capacity, will be responsible for overseeing the District's handling of election day complaints of voting rights concerns, threats of violence to election officials or staff, and election fraud, in consultation with Justice Department Headquarters in Washington.
