Former Postal Service Letter Carrier Sentenced for Stealing Mail 07/26/2024 08:00 AM EDT NEW ORLEANS – U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans announced that TIMOTHY MCMILLAN, JR. ("MCMILLAN"), age 43, of New Orleans, was sentenced on July 23, 2024 by U.S. District Judge Brandon S. Long, for stealing items from the mail that he had been entrusted to handle as a postal letter carrier.   Jefferson Parish Man Sentenced for Possessing Unregistered Silencer 07/26/2024 08:00 AM EDT NEW ORLEANS – JOSEPH METZLER, III ("METZLER"), age 44, of Gretna, Louisiana, was sentenced on July 23, 2024, by U.S. District  Judge Brandon S. Long for violating the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Act, announced U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans.
