Saint Bernard Man Sentenced to Violations of the Federal Controlled Substances Act 04/30/2024 08:00 AM EDT NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – ROBERT C. METZLER ("METZLER"), age 60, was sentenced on April 23, 2024, in connection with a two-count indictment charging him with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute carisoprodol and possession with intent to distribute forty (40) grams or more of fentanyl and a quantity of cocaine, oxycodone and marijuana, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(B), 841(b)(1)(C), and 846 respectively. Specifically, METZLER was sentenced on each count to 69 months imprisonment, four years of supervised release, and a $200 mandatory special assessment fee.
