View Online IMMEDIATE RELEASE Readout of Acting Under Secretary of Defense (Policy) Amanda Dory's Meeting With Israeli Ministry of Defense Director General Eyal Zamir May 30, 2024 The Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Ms. Amanda Dory, met with Israeli Ministry of Defense Director General Eyal Zamir at the Pentagon today. A/USDP Dory reinforced the Administration's enduring support for Israel's security.  She and DG Zamir reviewed the successful collaboration in defense of Israel against Iran and its proxies in an unprecedented attack on April 13.  DG Zamir thanked A/USDP Dory for the support provided by the United States. A/USDP Dory and DG Zamir also exchanged views on Israel's operations against Hamas, the need to release all hostages immediately, and the imperative to surge humanitarian assistance to Palestinian civilians in Gaza while minimizing civilian casualties.
