The latest Employment Cost Index news release has been posted on the BLS website at https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/eci.pdf and also archived at https://www.bls.gov/news.release/archives/eci_01312024.pdf. Highlights are below. Compensation costs up 0.9% Sep 2023 to Dec 2023 and up 4.2% over the year ending Dec 2023 01/31/2024 Compensation costs increased 0.9 percent for civilian workers, seasonally adjusted, from September 2023 to December 2023. Over the year, total compensation rose 4.2 percent, wages and salaries rose 4.3 percent, and benefit costs rose 3.8 percent. HTML | PDF | RSS | Charts
