The incumbent of this position supervises Senior EEO Specialists and EEO Specialists.  Incumbent is responsible for overseeing the processing and adjudication of complaints of discrimination.  This includes determination on acceptance of complaints or recommendations of dismissal of complaints to the U.S. Department of Justice , investigation of complaints, determination of whether or not there has been discrimination, settlement of complaints, which includes recommendations to the Assistant Director and the Director, monitoring of the EEO process for complaints forwarded to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for hearing or appeal to the U.S. Department of Justice for a final Agency decision. Incumbent also assists in the development, analysis, and implementation of a system-wide series of programs and policies.  Incumbent further assists Bureau management on the ADR Program.  Incumbent provides training to Bureau staff nation-wide on the EEO and ADR programs.  Incumbent has a full range of contacts with top officials of the Department of Justice, other agencies, both federal and state, the courts, members of the legal profession, and the general public.  Incumbent is expected to work in a timely manner with Department of Justice staff, Assistant U.S. Attorneys, other government agencies, the courts, Bureau management staff, in responding to issues in the incumbent's area of speciality and expertise.
