The Aviation Trial Attorney will be responsible for all aspects of defending the United States in actions brought under the Federal Tort Claims Act involving commercial air carrier crashes, smaller general aviation accidents, and injuries to passengers, crew, and ground personnel on or in connection with the operation of various aircraft, as well as space launch or space vehicle litigation, if necessary. Specific duties include preparing pleadings and pretrial discovery, researching, writing and arguing motions, conducting alternative dispute resolution, and handling trials and appeals.

Preferred duty location is Washington, D.C. However, this position may be remote (anywhere in the U.S. -location to be determined after selection.)
