Highlights are below. 9.6 million gross job gains and 6.7 million gross job losses during the fourth quarter of 2021 08/01/2022 From September 2021 to December 2021, there were 9.6 million gross job gains from opening and expanding private sector establishments. Over this period, gross job losses from closing and contracting private sector establishments were 6.7 million. The difference between the number of gross job gains and the number of gross job losses resulted in a net employment gain of 2.9 million jobs during the fourth quarter of 2021. HTML
