Today, I want to talk you through one of the roughest trades I can remember. I was sitting in front of my computer, watching a trade I’d entered go up… and up… and up… The only problem was, I wasn’t in the trade anymore. It was a futures trade, a particularly intricate kind of trading (if you don’t know what you’re doing), and the stock initially moved lower. As a result, my account blew up, and the broker force closed it… right before the trade turned around to big profit. But I was unable to get back in because they had forced me to take a loss — leaving the account below minimum equity requirements in the process. The bitterness I felt in that moment kept me from trading futures for years after that. A lot of people ask me why I help other traders, why I don’t just retire and move to a private island where I can trade whenever I want and spend my life how I want. Memories like that are the #1 reason. I have been in your shoes. I spent 20 years following every guru, learning every strategy I could, and spending tens of thousands of dollars to learn how to do this right. And along the way, I experienced a lot of painful memories. Memories I don’t want any other trader to have to experience. I am thankful to say that things finally clicked for me.
