Economic recovery continues with +431,000 jobs in March

The latest employment report shows steady gains and consistent strength in U.S. jobs creation. U.S. Department of Labor April 1, 2022 Job growth continues In March, we added 431,000 jobs and the unemployment rate dropped to 3.6% - just 0.1 percentage point above its pre-pandemic level. Over the past 3 months, we've added an average of 562,000 jobs per month to the economy. These steady gains show consistent strength in U.S. jobs creation. Contractor directive A new directive aims to promote effective enforcement and greater federal contractor compliance with equal employment opportunity laws. Safety and health rule OSHA has proposed a rule to amend a federal occupational injury and illness recordkeeping regulation, which would improve OSHA's ability to identify high-risk workplaces. Wages recovered We recovered $106,623 for 37 cashiers and cooks employed at three Pita Gourmet locations whose operator paid some employees cash off the books, among other violations.
