Deputy Division Director - Baltimore City Department of Social Services - Legal Services Division​ Posting Date:  March 31, 2022   Closing Date:  April 14, 2022 Job Title:  Deputy Division Director    Position Type: Regular Full Time Location:  Office of the Attorney General, Department of Social Services, Legal Services Division, 1510 Guilford Avenue Baltimore, MD 21202 Description:  The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Attorney General to serve as Deputy Director of the Baltimore City Department of Social Services Legal Services Division. The Deputy Director assists the Division Director in providing legal advice to the Baltimore City Department of Social Services Director and other agency administrators, supervising the attorneys, oversees the litigation of the division, managing the day-to-day operations of the division, and representing the Department in the Circuit Courts, Juvenile Courts, District Courts, and the Office of Administrative Hearings in complex or other special cases. The Legal Services Division is responsible for representing the agency in the following cases to protect vulnerable children and adults: Child-in-Need-of-Assistance, Termination-of-Parental Rights, Adult Protective Services Guardianship cases, Confidentiality matters, and Administrative Hearings concerning child abuse/neglect cases, foster home approvals and other matters before the Office of Administrative Hearings.
