Job Title:  Assistant Attorney General  Position Type: Contractual Full Time 

Location: Office of the Attorney General, Health Occupations Prosecution & Litigation Division 300 W. Preston St., Suite 201, Baltimore, MD

Description:  The Office of the Attorney General, Health Occupations Prosecution and Litigation Division (HOPL) is seeking applicants to serve as a contractual Assistant Attorney General at the Maryland Department of Health (MDH).  The Assistant Attorney General will primarily be prosecuting licensing cases before the Maryland Board of Nursing and other health occupations licensing boards.  The Assistant Attorney General will serve as an administrative prosecutor of disciplinary cases against health care professionals involving allegations of fraud, abuse and neglect of vulnerable adults, positive criminal history record checks, drug diversion, unprofessional conduct, substance abuse and standard of care violations. The AAG works closely with the board's investigatory staff, drafts charging documents and litigates cases before the boards or the Office of Administrative Hearings.
