CAP & VR Training for Case Managers!

DRM is offering an exciting new online training opportunity for youth and adult case managers who want to learn (more) about Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and the Client Assistance Program (CAP)! Through this training you will learn:

  • How your client can access/apply for VR services
  • How VR can work with your client to achieve their employment goals
  • When you/your client should reach out to a CAP advocate at DRM
  • How a CAP advocate can assist your client

The Client Assistance Program (CAP) is a federally funded program that provides information, assistance, and advocacy to people with disabilities who are applying for or receiving services under the Rehabilitation Act. The CAP works with individuals who are seeking advocacy assistance with the following agencies:

  • the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation;
  • the Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired;
  • the Division for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing & Late Deafened;
  • the Independent Living Services Program; and
  • Wabanaki Vocational Rehabilitation

This 90-minute training opportunity will take place over Zoom and will include time for questions and answers. To register for one of these events, click a link below.
