The one notable exception, writes NBC News' Jonathan Allen in an analysis, is former President Donald Trump, who praised the Russian leader as a "genius" days before the invasion. Trump complained that his remarks were misinterpreted, but wherever he stands, it is not with Biden's anti-Putin legion.
