Feb 02, 2022 BREAKING: Biden to deploy troops to Eastern Europe amid Ukraine standoff President Joe Biden has ordered the Pentagon to deploy troops to Eastern Europe as the U.S. and allies remain in a standoff with Russia over its military buildup on Ukraine's border, a senior administration official said. American forces based in Europe will be repositioned further east in addition to the deployment of U.S.-based troops, the official said, adding that the forces are not going to fight in Ukraine.
