Assistant United States Attorney 01/24/2022 01:32 PM EST USAO Eastern District of California Criminal Division, Bakersfield Office Bakersfield, California Announcement #: 22-EDCA-10A Application Deadline: March 4, 2022 The United States Attorney is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Criminal Division of the Bakersfield Office. The Assistant U.S. Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of criminal cases with an emphasis on complex white collar and economic crimes. Following appointment, Assistant U.S. Attorneys generally must reside in the district to which they are appointed. See 28 U.S.C. § 545 for district-specific information. This is a permanent position; however, all initial attorney appointments to the Department of Justice are made on a 14 month (temporary) basis pending favorable adjudication of a background investigation. This position is open to any U.S. Citizen to apply.
