Preston Street  Baltimore, MD 21201 Description:  The Office of the Attorney General seeks an attorney to serve as an Assistant Attorney General for the Comptroller of Maryland. The legal work primarily includes representing the Comptroller in tax litigation before the Maryland Tax Court, circuit courts, and appellate courts; providing legal advice on tax questions, personnel issues, and collections matters; reviewing and approving contracts; reviewing for legal sufficiency proposed regulations and administrative releases; litigating employment termination and other miscellaneous agency matters. The position also requires the attorney periodically to provide legal advice or to litigate certain matters for the Alcohol and Tobacco Commission and the Baltimore City Liquor Board.
