I just signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal into law, and I wanted to reach out to this team once again to express my sincere gratitude. It'll support a once-in-a-generation investment to create good-paying jobs, modernize our infrastructure, and turn the climate crisis into an opportunity -- and it's all thanks to you. This law is a game changer in so many ways for Americans, so I want you to know the details. This law will: Modernize our ports, airports, and freight rail -- making it easier for companies to get goods to market and reduce supply chain bottlenecks now and for decades to come. Get rid of our nation's dangerous lead pipes -- and make sure that every kid in this country can turn on the tap and drink clean water. Build a national network of charging stations for electric vehicles and thousands of miles of new, resilient transmission lines for a clean energy grid -- and in doing so, help tackle the climate crisis. Make high-speed internet available everywhere in America -- so no parent has to sit in a parking lot for their kid to access the internet for homework. This infrastructure law is something that has been talked about in Washington for so long, but never gotten done -- until now. But it is also just the start. It'll take electing more Democrats up and down the ballot all across the nation to continue building back better.
