Pasadena Man Sentenced to More Than 16 Years in Federal Prison for Conspiring to Kidnap Chinese National Who Later Was Murdered 10/29/2021 12:00 AM EDT A San Gabriel Valley man was sentenced today to 195 months in federal prison for participating in a conspiracy to kidnap a Chinese national who was violently abducted from a San Gabriel parking lot, and whose parents were extorted for $2 million in ransom before the victim died from his injuries.
