UPDATE to Fatal Vehicle Crash in Wicomico County

BALTIMORE, MD - The Independent Investigations Division of the Office of Attorney General has released the names of the decedent and the officers involved in a fatal vehicle crash that occurred on October 21, 2021, in Salisbury.

The decedent has been identified as Jamaal Parish Mitchell, a 35-year-old African-American man. Mr. Mitchell resided in Salisbury.

There were two officers involved in the incident. Private First Class Christopher Denny has been employed by the Salisbury Police Department for seven years and is currently assigned to Road Patrol and K-9 Services.  Deputy David Munir has been employed with the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office for two years and is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.
