Assistant Attorney General  - Maryland State Department of Education REPOST Posting Date:  August 2, 2021   Closing Date:  August 16, 2021            Job Title:  Assistant Attorney General     Position Type: Regular Full time Location:  Office of the Attorney General, Maryland State Department of Education,  200 St. Paul Place, Baltimore, Maryland    Description: The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for an experienced attorney to represent the Maryland State Department of Education ("MSDE") Office of Child Care and the Maryland State Library ("MSL").  In addition, this position will have duties related to a full-range of litigation matters and strong litigation skills are required. The Assistant Attorney General will be responsible for providing advice and representation to the MSL on a variety of legal matters, including day-to-day advice on transactional matters as well as litigation in administrative hearings, State Courts, and Federal Courts. Areas of advice and litigation will encompass the breadth of agency needs, including procurement, personnel matters, Public Information Act, Open Meetings Act, eDiscovery.
