States crack down on access to abortion medications, telehealth services
Women seeking medication abortions used to be required to go into clinics to receive mifepristone, one of the drugs necessary for the procedure. But the coronavirus pandemic lockdowns led the Food and Drug Administration to temporarily ease in-person dispensing requirements for the drug, launching a flurry of legislative pushback by Republicans from Ohio to Texas.
