May 31, 2021 BREAKING: Texas Democrats stage walkout over restrictive voting bill, killing it for now Texas Democrats on Sunday night used every parliamentary tool at their disposal to delay final passage of a GOP-backed bill that would enact new limits to elections in the state, ultimately leaving the House chamber to prevent a vote from being held ahead of a midnight deadline.
