Jackson Man Sentenced to Eight Years in Federal Prison for Narcotics Trafficking 04/01/2021 12:00 AM EDT Jackson, Miss. – Gregory Wayne Haygood a/k/a "Big", 48, of Jackson, was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge Henry T. Wingate, to 97 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for his role in conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine. Colombian Soccer Star Sentenced in the Eastern District of Texas for Conspiracy to Import Cocaine into the United States 04/01/2021 12:00 AM EDT Jhon Eduis Viafara Mina, 42, a native of Robles, Colombia, pleaded guilty on Nov. 23, 2020, to conspiracy to import five kilograms or more of cocaine into the United States and was sentenced to 135 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge Amos Mazzant. Viafara Mina, an international soccer star, previously played for the Colombian National Team and Once Caldas football club, as well for the English football clubs Portsmouth and Southampton, among many others. Crowley Man Sentenced on Drug Trafficking Charges 04/01/2021 12:00 AM EDT Swedish Actor Sentenced To More Than 15 Years For Enticing Florida Minor To Engage In Sexual Activity 03/31/2021 12:00 AM EDT Orlando, Florida – United States District Judge Wendy W. Berger today sentenced Joaquin Nabi Olsson (46, Stockholm, Sweden) to 15 years and 8 months in federal prison for using the internet and social media to entice and persuade a minor to engage in sexual activity. Olsson was also ordered to serve a 5-year term of supervised release and was ordered to register as a sex offender. He was arrested on July 20, 2019, and has been detained since his arrest.
