Four Charged in Scheme Employing Homeless to Cash Bogus Checks 03/04/2021 12:00 AM EST PROVIDENCE – Four men from the Atlanta, GA, area have been charged in federal court in Providence, RI, for allegedly operating a long-running scheme in which homeless and transient individuals from the Providence area were recruited to cash counterfeit business checks in exchange for a cash payment.
