Red-winged blackbirds return to on Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge

Red-winged blackbirds are one of the first species to return to Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge as winter loosens its grip and the promise of spring returns. This flock was one of the first to arrive, settling into a cottonwood to roost through the cold night.
